To qualify for a Groove Fund Scholarship an applicant must be a high school senior. or high school graduate and meet the following requirements:


  • will graduate by June 30th of the calendar year 2025
  • has a minimum B grade point average; and
  • has committed to attend a 4-year College or University during the Fall semester of the current calendar year, or
  • A current undergraduate student planning to attend or currently enrolled at a 2 or 4-year college or university with a cumulative 3.00 grade point average on a 4.00 scale.


 

The following documents (in digital format) must be uploaded with your signed application:

  • A copy of your most recent high school or college transcript (official or unofficial copy);
  • For high school students, a copy of your acceptance letter to attend a 2 or 4-year college/university;
  • A letter of recommendation from a teacher/professor, guidance counselor/academic advisor, or a principal/college administrator;
  • A one-page typed essay that identifies the person you most admire, and why; or a one-page typed essay that describes your community and/or civic activities and the impact any one of those activities had on you or your community; and
  • A recent high-resolution headshot photo and Photograph Release Form (full body photographs will not be accepted)


No, for 2025, the scholarship committee has agreed to consider only undergraduate candidate programs.


The amount of scholarship awards can vary from $500 to $1,000 per award dependent upon the availability of funds.  Applicants who have received awards in a prior period are eligible to re-apply in subsequent award periods.  All funds are disbursed to the college or university in the name of the scholarship awardee.
